About the event

At IronPine 70.3, our mission is simple:
Make long-distance triathlon accessible — and affordable — for everyone.

Triathlon, especially Ironman-distance racing, can be daunting not just physically, but financially. With many races costing hundreds of dollars just to register, getting into the sport can feel out of reach for beginners. 

We’re here to change that. 

IronPine 70.3 is completely free to race for first timers!
No registration fees. No hidden costs. Just your determination to train, show up, and give it your all.

To keep the event personal and manageable, we cap the race at 30 participants.
And because our goal is to grow the sport, priority is given to athletes who have never completed an Ironman-distance triathlon before.

My name is James Clark. I am currently a student at Utah State University. I started IronPine because I love to do triathlons, but as a student, I don't have the access to funds that long distance triathlons require. The more I looked into it, the more I realized that I wasn't the only one in the same boat. I started this event in the hopes that people can enjoy staying physically active without having to worry about breaking the bank.
