About the event
Finovate 2026 is the inaugural launch of our premier, annual student-led entrepreneurial hackathon ecosystem. Our mission is to bridge the gap between high-caliber young innovators and the corporate landscape by challenging students to build real-world, market-ready business prototypes in 24 hours.
Each year, the hackathon pivots to a brand-new, high-growth industry vertical to keep our hackers at the cutting edge of modern business. For our inaugural 2026 event this August, our core theme is Financial Technology (Fintech). Over 100 of the region’s top high school and university student developers, designers, and young founders will compete in collaborative teams to build viable fintech software applications and pitch them to a panel of industry executives. At the closing ceremony, the highly anticipated theme for the 2027 conference will be officially unveiled.

Arsh KumarFinovate 2026 is founded and directed by Arsh Kumar, an ambitious student leader at the Downingtown STEM Academy and the founder of Innova.
While I am currently a freshman, my execution and professional drive operate at a university and corporate level. I founded this initiative because I saw a massive gap in how traditional high school programs prepare students for real-world tech entrepreneurship. I don't just wait for opportunities to come to me, I build them.

We are currently in active, high-level talks with Comcast regarding regional event integration, and we recently advanced through partnership evaluations with T-Mobile’s Emerging Talent division (which ultimately sat out solely due to their strict corporate restriction against high-school-level legal contracts).
