Looking Forward stand-up comedy and book tour,

Funny Pharm Comedy Club, Goshen, Indiana, United States Funny Pharm Comedy Club, Goshen, Indiana, United States

  • About the event

The Looking Forward Book & Comedy Tour is a three-week multi-state series of live comedy, storytelling, book signing, and audience engagement events taking place throughout July 2026 across Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania.

The tour is intended to promote and sell copies of SK Morton’s latest stirical humor novel, Looking Forward: 2012–2087, while also providing audiences with an entertaining live experience that blends clean stand-up comedy, observational storytelling, satire, audience interaction, and discussions about modern culture, technology, human behavior, and everyday life.

Unlike a traditional book tour, these events combine elements of a comedy performance, author talk, and conversational live experience designed to appeal to both readers and general entertainment audiences. The material is clean, intelligent, and accessible to broad audiences while still engaging with thoughtful themes through humor.

Events may include live stand-up performances, moderated conversations, audience Q&A, book sales/signings, podcast appearances, radio/TV interviews, bookstore events, comedy club appearances, and collaborative appearances with local venues, media outlets, and businesses.

The tour is designed to create community engagement, support independent arts and entertainment, and provide sponsor visibility through live audiences, social media promotion, digital marketing, printed materials, and ongoing online content associated with the tour and book launch.

    Why should you sponsor?

Sponsors supporting the Looking Forward Book & Comedy Tour are supporting a clean, intelligent, multi-state live entertainment event designed to engage audiences through comedy, storytelling, conversation, and community interaction. The tour combines stand-up comedy, live appearances, book events, audience Q&A, and media outreach in a format that appeals to a broad adult audience interested in entertainment, culture, books, and live experiences.

Unlike many entertainment events, the tour is designed to be sponsor-friendly and accessible to a wide demographic. The material is clean, thoughtful, and conversational while still being funny and engaging. Sponsors benefit from positive public association with creativity, literacy, live entertainment, independent arts, and community engagement.

The tour also provides multiple visibility opportunities through:

    • live event audiences,
    • social media promotion,
    • podcast and other types of media appearances,
    • printed promotional materials,
    • venue partnerships,
    • online marketing,
    • and ongoing digital content connected to the book launch and tour. (I have clickable advertisements on my monthly news letter where a print ad for your business will have a prominent spot for 18 months)

Because the tour spans multiple states and venues, sponsorship provides regional exposure while also supporting independent creative work and live public events that bring people together in an increasingly digital culture.

    SK Morton

As a clean stand-up comedian, humor author, storyteller, and independent creative producer based in San Francisco. Over the years I’ve built an audience through live performance, writing, public events, comedy tours, walking tours, podcast hosting as well as appearances, publishing, and independently produced creative projects.

What makes this tour trustworthy from a sponsorship perspective is that it is designed to be professional, audience-friendly, and brand-safe. My material focuses on observational humor, storytelling, modern life, and human behavior rather than divisive or explicit content. The goal is to create events that are entertaining, thoughtful, approachable, and welcoming to broad audiences.

I also understand the importance of professionalism, preparation, and audience experience because much of my work depends on live interaction, repeat business, partnerships, and public reputation. In addition to performing comedy and writing books, I’ve spent years organizing live experiences, working directly with the public, promoting events, and building long-term relationships with venues, audiences, and collaborators.

Sponsors can feel confident knowing they are partnering with an event built around positivity, creativity, humor, and meaningful audience engagement rather than controversy or shock value. My goal is not simply to promote a book, but to create memorable live experiences that reflect well on the venues, communities, and businesses involved.
